the vintage trench
Introducing the latest addition to my outerwear collection.

I've never been one to impulse-buy, but sometimes, I stumble across a perfect, one-of-a-kind piece for a steal. This has happened a few times in my life: case in point, the black velvet cocktail dress I discovered at a local vintage shop (for $20, bless them), and a lacy, Free People sundress I found (on sale, in my size) for $25. When I find a rarity like these, it goes without saying that I have to walk out with it; the chances of finding these treasures are slim.
Such was the case with the newest addition to my outerwear collection. I'd been searching high and low for a new trench coat, as the one I currently owned was looking a tad shabby. When I'd had no success at local shops and big-name stores, I turned to eBay.
Lo and behold, I found the dreamiest vintage trench coat. Burberry truly sets the standard for this type of clothing, and their vintage pieces are even more special. It was another lucky find, and I know I'll be wearing my trench for years to come.
For the spring season, I styled this piece with ribbed knit sweater (another vintage find), tailored black trousers, sneakers, and a slouchy bag.
