A phenomenal vintage find paired with tucked-away street corners.
When it comes to frequenting the local vintage shops, I don't do it very often. Vintage shopping is a bit of a treat for me; I have to be in a specific mood for hunting, and I have to have a clear vision of what I'm looking for. Obviously, vintage pieces are one of a kind, and their rarity can sometimes detract from the end goal.
Case in point: a gorgeous, cobalt blue Dior sweater. I loved it, and almost bought it, but ultimately blue isn't my color. Instead, I walked out with these wide-legged trousers.
Trousers are by far the best thing to look for when I'm picking through racks of vintage. They're usually cut a little looser in the hips, which makes them great for my body shape. A tailor can take in the waist, and I'm good to go. These camel-colored pants are a complete dream come true: super-high waisted, wide-legged, and in perfect condition. The fabric is like corduroy, but less textured, so I can wear them year-round. After a stop at the tailor's (I got the waist taken in and had the legs shortened), they're perfect; a true hidden gem that I found tucked away on a rack in the back of the shop.
And speaking of hidden gems... the adorable locations for this shoot were hand-picked by Mia. We spent the morning driving around the northern part of the city in the cutest neighborhoods, taking in all the beautiful flowers. Couldn't ask for a better pairing.
